I am dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ, Who brought me out of the darkness and into His light, and Who is the example of someone who wasn't afraid to hang out with society's "undesirables" in order to show them The Way, The Truth, and The Life.

why is Good Friday called "GOOD"?

i read this line a few years ago. it caught me by surprise because it was by Peanuts. i then learned that Charles M. Schulz, the maker of Peanuts "eared in the Lutheran faith, had been active in the Church of God (Anderson) as a young adult and then later taught Sunday school at a United Methodist Church", according to Wikipedia. one of the books that i am really looking forward owning is the The Gospel According to Peanuts. The Gospel According to Peanuts is a best-selling 1965 book written by Presbyterian minister Robert L. Short about Charles M. Schulz's popular comic strip, Peanuts. The book is based on Short's use of the Peanuts characters to illustrate his lectures about the Christian Gospel. A sequel, The Parables of Peanuts, was written by Short in 1968.

now, why is Good Friday called "GOOD"? well, i have been trying to find that strip for months now and i still can't find it. anyways, this will be mine to say. why is Good Friday called "GOOD"? because Jesus died on the cross. He just not stretched His arms on the cross, He bled to death. it was the worst kind of death at that time. Jesus died for me. for you. for us.

when Snoopy was asked by Woodstock, "why is Good Friday called "GOOD"?". there was a simple answer Snoopy gave. "ask the man on the cross...".
